5 The Burrs
At this location sited withing the wall of the Garrison excavations uncovered a corner of a Roman building with Roman pottery andwall plaster. Roman coins were also found in the proximity. Read more …

Brough on Humber to give it its full title is thought to been the Roman settlement of Petuaria, mentioned by an ancient writer Ptolemy and was the tribal centre of the Parisi. The Parisi were the local tribe who lived in East Yorkshire in the Roman period. Read more …
